Ira Fay's Business Card Puzzle A puzzle that's too easy is over too quickly, and one that's too hard can be frustrating and not fun. One design solution is to create an intentionally hard puzzle, and then offer the player increasingly bigger hints that he or she can use as desired. Another option is to offer the player a choice of difficulty up front. I employed both options on my business card puzzles! |
