Ira Fay's Business Card Puzzle A puzzle that's too easy is over too quickly, and one that's too hard can be frustrating and not fun. One design solution is to create an intentionally hard puzzle, and then offer the player increasingly bigger hints that he or she can use as desired. Another option is to offer the player a choice of difficulty up front. I employed both options on my business card puzzles! |

Hint 1 | What are those shapes doing there? |
Hint 2 | The number of sides on each shape matters. |
Hint 3 | Each shape-word pair provides one letter of the solution. Read top to bottom. |
The Answer | Each shape has 3-6 sides. Use that number to get the 3rd, 4th, 5th, or 6th
letter of the word, as appropriate. For example, the first pair is a hexagon
with "Breathe," so you take the 6th letter of the word and get H. Reading top to
bottom, you get: Have Fun, Play Nice! |
